Bloggin's Hard

Yep, I said it- it's true.  I thought at first that it wouldn't be so hard to do, but now that birthdays and Christmas are approaching, I am fastly changing my tune. Work has also been busy, so after the boys are asleep, all I want to do is watch tv and go to sleep.  I will continue to blog until some other invention takes its place though.  Just may not be every or every other week as I had hoped.  I have to say that bloggin' does make me happy.  It gives me something to look back on, and one day, Waylon and Wyatt can (hopefully) enjoy reading what mommy has written about them :)

Okay!  So... we have had lots of fun over the last couple of weeks with fall
approaching and Halloween.   We took the boys to the pumpkin patch in Hayden and they got to ride the tractor out to the pumpkin patch.  I think Waylon really liked it.  He is so into cars right now, and cracks us up always saying "Whoa, cars"!  Lynn-z made them cute little outfits so I thought this would be the perfect place to wear them.  I took a lot of pictures, so I loaded them in my Picasa web albumn.  Below is the link.

For months, Wyatt's pediatrician had told us that Wyatt has a hydrocele (hernia) on the right side of his - you know :) It took two months to get in with the Urologist (back in August). He told us that he would need surgery, which would put us out another two months. SO.... on October 26th, he went in for surgery and thank heavens, he did not have to have surgery after all. It had healed on its own, and I had a feeling it did. I got a few shots of him in his little gown.

For Halloween, Wyatt was a lion (Waylon's costume from last year).  I waited until the last minute to get Waylon's so it was slim pickins.  I ended up getting him a dragon costume, and it turned out to be cuter in person.  We dressed them up and let them play outside before we left to go to the fall festival at Pinson First Baptist.  Waylon did not want his head piece on UNTIL we put Wyatt's lion hood on.  Then it was OK. Here are some pics from Halloween...

The boys are still going to Nana and Grandaddy's on Thursdays and Nana always takes cute pictures of them.  I just love these that were taken around Halloween!

Here are some pics I've taken over the last few weeks. Some were actually supposed to have been put on my last post, but I forgot about them. LOVE LOVE LOVE my babies!!!

Wow, it seems as though I just updated the blog, but it’s been 2 weeks. Not a whole lot to report this time around. Waylon and Wyatt are still doing great. Waylon’s new thing is wanting to be chased ALL the time. He thinks it is so much fun AND it lets me get some exercise in! Lord knows I need it. Wyatt is getting 4 big teeth up top… so funny to see him with teeth now. He is crawling all around, but I’m not sure if he likes crawling. I think he would much rather be walking and is always trying to stand every chance he gets. We have started bathing the boys together- they really like it and it’s easier on us. I was bathing Wyatt in our tub (in his little tub) and Eric was bathing Waylon in the hall bath. They really LOVE to splash! I am usually soking wet when we’re done.

A couple of weeks ago, Sally, Steve, and Caroline came to visit Lynn-z and Peedee for a couple of nights on their way to San Antonio, I believe. Sally is Peedee’s sister fron NC. It has been a couple of years, so it was so good to see them. Caroline is almost 2 ½, so she and Waylon had fun together. She is such a cutie and has the best little personality. They crawled up and down the steps, rode the John Deer, and rode in the wagon together :)

Ok, please forgive me, but while we were visiting with them, I noticed that Olivia had left her blonde wig and I thought it would be funny to put it on Wyatt. We all thought it was funny…don’t really know if he did though. These are the pic(s) of the week. I think he would make a cute little girl, don’t you? HAHA

Here are some pics of the boys playing around the house

The boys just love going to Nana and Grandaddy’s on Thursdays.  These are from last week’s visit.  I’m not sure why Waylon is crying, but something tells me it might be because Wyatt tried to TOUCH the pumpkin??!!  Don’t know, just a guess.

A fun week

I sure do hate that two weeks have gone by since I last updated the blog… maybe someday I can get back into my routine of updating it every week.  Everyone has been doing great lately and I’m so thankful! I sure am loving this cooler fall weather and I’m so glad football season is here!

My little Wyatt turned 10 months old last Saturday and it’s so hard to belive he’ll be ONE in two months. This has been the fastest year of my life without a doubt. He went to his 9 month appt last Friday and weighed in at 18 lbs 14 oz and was 28 ½ inches long. At every appointment, he seems to be one pound less than what Waylon was. OH!!! Big news, I almost forgot to share… he also started crawling last week. It happened at Nana and Grandaddy’s so they were able to get it on video. YAY!!! He’s so cute crawling too :) He hasn’t got the speed Waylon had yet, but just moves his little fanny back and forth.

Waylon has been doing things out of the blue that really make us laugh. The weekend before last, he (all of the sudden) started cleaning his room and throwing his toys into his toy bin. I left the room and then heard the door close, which he does sometimes, and when I went back in, his room was spotless. He had even lined the big toys up against the window. I might be asking him to vaccum and mop since he does such a good job cleaning :) Of course, I had to take some pictues…

I think he ran out of room in his toy bin, so he put some things in his basketball goal- HA HA

Friday after Wyatt’s appointment, we met Aunt Krinny and Olivia at the zoo.  We were going to have lunch with Lynn-z and Peedee aftewards, but they decided to meet us at the zoo.  We had a good time.  They really liked the train.  The boys were in their stroller most of the time, but shortly before we left, I let Waylon out of his stroller because it was hard for him to see certain things.  First thing he did was start running and sure enough, he fell and scraped his knees.  He didn’t even cry.  I told him not to run, but walk (as I overexaggerated my walking steps) and he listened to me and walked the rest of the time.  Olivia was so sweet with both of them while we were there.  She even held Waylon’s hand so he wouldn’t run, which leads me to post the picture of the week.  It may be the cutest picture I’ve ever taken J

Some more pictures from the zoo.

Saturday we went to Grady’s 2nd Birthday party.  He is so cute and I hate that I didn’t get a picture of him.  The two I took came out extremely dark.  It was a fire truck themed party and the boys got hats, a little stuffed dalmation and a goodie box.  Waylon kept running off to the playground every chance he could get (when he wasn’t eating a cup full of M & M’s- which explains the chocolate face).  They had such a good time!

Nana has taken some cute pictues of them the past couple of weeks.  They are always so hard to choose from to put on the blog. Here is just a small sample of some of the

So that’s what we’ve been up to lately.  Here are a few more pics from around the house.

I'm a slacker :)

And I was doing so good keeping up the blog. Well, it has been a busy two weeks. We had someone that was intrested in our house, so we spent a lot of time cleaning and getting our house ready to show. Our realtor hasn’t heard from him, so I guess he’s not interested anymore. We had really gotten our hopes up because he came to look twice. Oh well, HIS loss! The right person will come along.

I have also been getting things ready to sell at Kids Market. Wasn’t really aware of how much time that takes, until I got started. Took everything yesterday after work, and let me tell ya, I’m soooo glad that is over with (until next season ) Hopefully I will make a decent amount.

We have had fun the past two weeks, though. Labor Day weekend, we went to Guntersville State Park for a day. We took them to the playground and the beach, so they really enjoyed it. It felt so good outside that day. I can’t wait until Fall! Here are a couple of pictures I took of Wyatt lying on his blanket. I just love black and white photos!

I took so many pictures while we were there, you can check out all of them by clicking on this link:

The most exciting thing that’s happened since I last posted, is that Eric finished putting the swing set together. Still needs to be pressure washed and stained, but not too shabby! Waylon loves going down the slide…

Both Waylon and Wyatt are doing great at the moment. Yesterday I noticed that one of Wyatt’s top teeth is finally coming in. I know it hurts because he didn’t want to let me open his mouth to look at it. Waylon is getting his k-9’s, but doesn’t seem to be in any pain. They have been very good and have been so much fun!

Oh, almost forgot, the picture of the week goes to Wyatt! My little buddy was so sleepy after eating and being at daycare all day, that he fell asleep in his highchair :)

The rest of the pics are just randoms from the past two weeks.  Enjoy!

Laid back week

This has really been a pretty uneventful week.  But that is GOOD!  No illnesses, no doctors visits, etc.  We didn't do much of anything over the weekend.  Just stayed at home most of the time.  We went outside for a little while, but then aunts started crawling on the blanket Wyatt was sitting on, so we went back inside.  He actually got bit on his foot and on his back!

Either Waylon has grown a little, or he is just getting really good at getting on his tippy toes.  But I learned this week that he is able to get things out of the top drawers in our kitchen.  I was playing with Wyatt in Waylon's room when I noticed that Waylon was not in there and he was being quiet where ever he was.  This usually means that he is in front of the TV sucking his thumb. Before I got up to go see, he came back in the room and laid these on carpet. I had to get on to him and tried to tell him that they could hurt him, but nevertheless, I made this the picture of the week.  Really goes to show that our week was kind of blah, doesn't it?  :)

                                                Some snapshots from the weekend...

Nana took some really cute pictures of them on Thursday.  Waylon thought it was funny when Wyatt had on the coon hat.  They also went to the zoo and rode the train.  They had a fun day!

An ear infection and 3 day measles???

And just when I think everyone is getting better, poor Wyatt breaks out in a rash.  It freaked me out when the doctor said it was 3 day measles.  Having that can cause an ear infection, so that explains his fussiness over the past few days.  Nothing like an ear infection... I got one about a year or so ago and screamed and cried from the horrible pain!  Can't imagine what our babies feel like :(    Oh, and Waylon is still having his bout with poopie diapers.  Should have tests results soon.  I hope everything is okay.  2 1/2 weeks is too long for that to be going on!

This past weekend something happened that caught me way off guard.  Waylon loves playing with my phone, and out of the blue, he picked up my phone, put it to his ear and said "Whatcha doin?"  I had to think about what I had just heard, and tried to second guess myself, but he said it.  He'll be talking our ears off before you know it.  Half the things he says sounds like a cross between Chinese and Klingon (Star Trek lanugage), but I am starting to understand more and more each day.

I've decide that I would add a new segment to the blog each week called.......drumroll........ "picture of the week"!  Hmm... how will I decide?  Well, more than likely, it will be a moment that made me laugh, say "awe", or almost made me tear up.  In this case  AWWWWWE!!  Waylon loves his "baby" brother!  It always makes me so happy when Waylon pays Wyatt the least bit of attention.  Maybe I am easily amused :)

Eric had been wanting to take the boys to the Bass Pro Shops, so last week he took them there and to Cracker Barrell.  I am so impressed with my husband's ability to entertain the boys.  He doesn't seem to get stressed at all.  Sometimes I wish I could see what goes on when I'm not around, or do I???  I think they had a really good time on their little excursion.  I hate I missed out!

Just hanging out during the week....

Sunday, we all went to John John and Clee's house to visit.  They asked us earlier in the week if we would like to have Tanner and Tucker's (extremely nice) swing set that they have outgrown! We had such a good time visiting and the boys are going to love playing outside on their new swing set.  There will be many pictures taken on it I'm sure, so once it is all put back together, I will share.

Until next week....

A week of...

Poopie diapers!  Poor Waylon seemed to have a little stomach virus last weekend and it cleared up during the week, but came back again.  He was still eating like a horse, but had a bad diaper... after diaper.  Eric took him to the doctor this morning, and Dr. Lytlle told us to take him off milk and fried foods and to give him Gatorade and water.  If that doesn't help in the next couple of days we have to bring a stool sample in.  Noting discrete about this blog, huh?

I just can't believe how fast my boys are growing up!  Waylon sings all the time and does this thing with his hands.  I think it's the itsy bitsy spider, but I'm not sure.  He's so curious about everything, and tries to see how far he can go before he gets in trouble.  Wyatt is lunging forward, just ready to crawl and get his brother!  We are just having the best time with these little munchkins! I love having Fridays off to spend with them. Sometimes, to me, it feels like we do the same repetitive stuff every week, but I guess it doesn’t seem that way to them. They love playing in each other’s rooms. Waylon is starting to pay Wyatt a little more attention these days too. I actually caught Waylon gently rubbing Wyatt’s hand while they were in the buggy at Walmart. Too bad I didn’t have my camera that time! We went to Chick-fil-a on Saturday and let Waylon play in the play area. Our table was right by the window, so we just watched him to see what he would do. He loved climbing in this tunnel and he tried to do a little climbing, but decided that wasn’t for him yet.

I’m trying to get a little more creative with my blog posts and decided to try out collages. I figured out how to make them in photoshop last week. I think I am turning into a photoshop geek! Here are some I put together from this past week.

Decided to give Waylon a bath during the day because we skipped it the night before.  I may be biased, but such a cutie!!

Last week, Nana asked if I could bring Waylon’s rocking horse because she had some ideas for pictures. She still had Eric’s cowboy hat that he used to wear and I think it made for some great pictures. Wyatt is at the age where he is so easy going and LOVES getting his picture made. Waylon…well, not so much :)

Going to daycare

The boys started daycare this week in Oneonta. They will be going two days a week. They both really seemed to like it. Waylon immediately (within the first 30 seconds of being in the place) found a sponge bob toy in the toy box, so he was thrilled. They said he ran from one end of the room to the other, just as happy as could be. I think he likes being around other kids his age. Wyatt was very good and they said he just smiles and laughs. I'm looking forward to them interacting with other kids, but dread the sickness that comes along with daycare. Hopefully they will avoid it!
They are both teething right now... I can see two of Waylon's top teeth coming in, and Wyatt was running a low grade fever over the weekend. I have a feeling his top two teeth will be peeking through very soon.

For the first time, I did some shopping on the tax free weekend. Me, Lynn-z, and the boys went to Belk at the Galleria to look for Waylon some new shoes and then to Stride Rite, but we ended up getting these Stride Rite shoes at Belk. Thanks Lynn-z!

Nana took some really cute pictures of Waylon with him wearing her glasses.  When I saw these I just laughed and laughed.... he's such a silly boy!

FUNNY...

FUNNIER...

and HILARIOUS!

Took some pictures of Waylon out in the front yard.  He found my old camera case, so I threw it around his neck and wouldn't take it off.  No, it's not a man purse :)

I was so excited on Sunday because aunt Krinny and Olivia came to visit.  Made my day, really.  Olivia and Waylon had fun together!

If you're wondering if we suddenly forgot about Wyatt, we didn't.  Next week will be your week little buddy :)
